Vera Neel is an interdisciplinary artist based in New Mexico, USA. Born in Russia, she was deeply influenced by the beauty of Siberian nature. Her artistic soul always sought an outlet through art, which fully materialized after moving to the United States in 2004.
Despite attending masterclasses with renowned contemporary artists such as Albert Handel, Peter Nisbet, David Mayer, Elena Goubar, and others, Vera has largely forged her artistic path independently. She experiments with various media and styles, incorporating diverse materials and tools into her work. In addition to painting, Vera is also passionate about the art of wool felting on silk, creating exquisite women’s accessories and clothing.
Since 2010, she has been exclusively painting with a palette knife, a technique that allows her to express herself freely and develop her own artistic style. Her expertise in marketing, management, graphic design, digital media, and fashion enables her to integrate these elements into her art, resulting in multilayered, conceptually rich works.
Vera’s work has received awards and has been exhibited at both international and local exhibitions, earning recognition among collectors and art enthusiasts. She is former co-owner of Art Mozaik Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. As a gallerist, she actively supported artists by providing them with a platform for self-expression, helping them reach new heights, expand their audience, and connect with art collectors.
